Within Chawleigh village there is St James Church, two pubs: The Royal Oak and the Earl of Portsmouth (EOP), Chawleigh Village Store, a hairdressers and Blue Fox Glade gunshop/clay shooting. We are also lucky to have the Little Dart river to the North and The Taw to the south of the Parish, with some nice places to relax and take in the local fauna and flora as well as views of Dartmoor.  Further afield, food and refreshments can be found at Eggesford Crossing cafe, The Plant Shed and The Fox and Hounds Country Hotel

You will need stout footwear for walking in the countryside, as it can be muddy in places even on a dry day, and ensure your clothing is suitable for the weather.
